Training Staff to Support Pupils
with Emotional Logic

Students and Teacher in Classroom

Staff Introduction Sessions

These sessions are tailor made to meet the needs of your team and can be delivered in a range of ways.

Many schools ask us to deliver the training as part of their weekly staff meeting sessions. Others plan the training in as part of an INSET day.

Foundation Award Training

This level of training qualifies you to use our teaching materials to teach Emotional Logic skills to group of pupils using safe scenarios.

The Foundation Award is delivered online over half a term and takes approximately 20 hours of study. The course receives 20 CPD points and is validated by the University of Surrey RQLE. It is a basic entry requirement for the ELF training.

Emotional Logic Facilitator (ELF) Training

This level of training enables you to become a fully qualified Emotional Logic Facilitator so that you can support children with their real life, complex emotional problems. You must have completed the Foundation Award first.

The ELF training lasts approximately two terms and takes around 120 hours of study. Trainees can begin working with pupils immediately and operate under the supervision of a qualified coach.

the impact of our training

"You have truly made such an impact on our young people and I cannot rave enough about the power that the Emotional Logic sessions have. Those young people feel valued and more able to then tap into strategies to help them in life/school/home. I thank you so much for your input and work, it’s been great working with you and I look forward to it continuing next year."

Gemma Parker, Safeguarding Lead and Director of Student Support, Callington College

"Staff and children have found these sessions incredibly useful. It has been invaluable for staff to see it presented in a fun and engaging manner. The staff have come away feeling that they have a deeper understanding of how to use emotional logic and better equipped with the language. They left the first session asking to be included in the second!"

"Christiaan presents in such an engaging way, the staff and children are entirely focused on the learning – fabulous!

Thank you Christiaan and we look forward to seeing you at Woodford again in the very near future."

Jude Ives, PSHE Lead, Woodford Primary School

"The Emotional Logic training, support and instructors are phenomenal.  The knowledge and skills I have gained from them have enabled me to help both children and adults make massive improvements along their emotional journeys, to understand what they are experiencing, and to find their own light at the end of the tunnel."

Nathan White, SENDCo and EYFS Lead, Mayflower Community Academy

"Since taking part in EL training I have been able to regulate myself quicker when I experience turbulence with my emotions. This has led to greater stability and calmness in my own life. I have explained the Stepping Stone cards and the basic principles to my own family which has led to a greater understanding of what emotions we feel and that every emotion has its own useful purpose."
