A follow-up study published in the European Journal of Integrative Medicine explored the lasting impact of Emotional Logic training on people referred by their GP for emotional support.
Researchers tracked 147 patients who had received Emotional Logic training. Four to six years later, questionnaires were sent to those still registered with the medical practice, and 39 people responded.
The findings were encouraging:
71% of respondents remembered Emotional Logic as being helpful in the short term.
55% reported that they were still benefiting from what they had learned 4–6 years later.
37% of respondents said they had used their Emotional Logic knowledge to help other people.
Participants described using their learning to support family members, friends, colleagues, and even people they worked with professionally. Examples included helping a daughter through a marriage breakdown, supporting a friend experiencing depression, and assisting distressed people in the workplace.
The research suggests that Emotional Logic not only helps individuals manage their own emotional wellbeing but also equips them with skills that can positively influence those around them. The benefits appeared across key areas of emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, empathy, relationship skills, emotional regulation, and resilience.
Key Finding
The most significant finding was that many participants continued to use and share the skills years after the training had ended, suggesting that Emotional Logic can create lasting personal benefits and strengthen emotional wellbeing within families, workplaces, and communities.
