Tailor-made support for your colleagues based on their personal circumstance
Our confidential sessions can take place online or in person. We teach people about the Healthy Adjustment Process that we all go through during times of change or stress. We help our clients explore how they are feeling, recognise the useful purposes of these unpleasant emotions and make plans to move forward.
Our sessions are led by qualified professionals who have had experience working in education, fostering, social work or healthcare. They are aware of many of the specific challenges these professionals face. Our sessions are not focussed on legal issues or employment law - we leave those to professionals in occupational health or trade unions. We focus on the underlying values that underpin our emotions. We help our clients understand the particular stresses they are under in both the workplace and in their personal lives. We look at our natural bargaining styles and how this impacts our ability to cope with stressful situations effectively. Our sessions empower clients to think creatively about what is best for them and their family in the long term.
Who do you support and is it good value?
We work with professionals from any background but are particularly experienced with supporting school staff, foster carers and social workers.
You may already know that if a teacher is signed off sick due to workplace stress, the cost of four weeks of supply cover in the UK can cost between £3000 and £5000 depending on the location. Six months of cover will cost between £25,000 and £35,000.
Early use of our support can save organisations huge amounts of money
Our clients initially book a series of six sessions. Depending on the location of the sessions, this will cost around £400 - £500 and will include all resources and access to our online learning materials.
Schools tell us that our service is extremely good value for money, equating to the cost of around two day's supply cover. If the member of staff returns to work a few weeks or even months earlier than expected, the savings for the organisation can be huge, as can the benefits for the children who will have significantly less impact on their learning.
