We all feel stressed when something we care about is under threat. You care about your exam results and want your hard work to be recognised and open doors to the next stage in your life, so no wonder you feel anxious about the outcome. Your body is trying to tell you that you may not have the resources to cope with what could happen. Guess what? You can!

Remember that you are more than your results. You are a fabulous and unique human being with huge potential and much to offer the world. Your results are just one small aspect of who you are. They do not define you.
Some people find it helpful to think in advance about the best and worse-case possible outcomes. Try to make a plan just in case. Ask yourself, what will I do if.....
If you have safe people in your life who you trust, for example family or close friends, consider talking to them in advance and consider having one of them with you when you open your results.
Remember that in life, some doors will close for you and some will open. What you think will be the best plan for your life now may not actually be correct! Many older people look back on how their life evolved unexpectedly and the wonderful experiences they have had and realise the direction they originally planned wasn’t the only route to happiness and fulfilment. When things don’t go to our original plan, it isn't the end of the world. Other doors will open and lead to good things.
Remember that your feelings are valid. Allow yourself to feel whatever emotions arise, be it disappointment, relief, or excitement. Don't suppress them. Acknowledge them, talk to your safe people and make a plan.
